Zimbabwe Gango Recipe
After a long time of wanting to give it a try, this is my own version of Zimbabwe Gango recipe made at home. Hoping you will enjoy it as much as I did. Check out the recipe notes on how to omit or replace any meats in this recipe.

300 g pork belly, cut into bite-size pieces
200g Boerewors, cut into bite-size pieces
300g kidney, cut into bite-size pieces
300 g Ox liver, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tbsp oil
1 heaped tbsp Mr Sauce BBQ Sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Zimspice Curry powder
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 large tomatoes, grated
3/4 bundle covo veggies, chopped
Do This
- Get your ingredients together. Heat oil in a pan and add the pork belly. Fry until beginning to brown.
- Add BBQ sauce, mix, and cook for a further 2 – 3 minutes. Add the boerewors and fry until beginning to brown.
- Add the kidney and salt. Allow to cook for 5 minutes, while stirring regularly.
- Add the liver and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Add onion and curry powder. Let this cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add tomato and cook for 3 – 5 minutes or until the tomatoes are well cooked. Add veggies and cook for another 5 min. Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly. Enjoy!

- Feel free to remove or replace any of the meats used. If replacing the meat, use meat that is tender and cooks fast.
