- 100 g margarine/butter, softened
- 100 g castor sugar

- 200 g raisins
- 50 ml fresh milk
If you feel like having a baked goodie but dreading the time it takes to make one then this here fruit loaf is for you. It’ll take just 45 min to prepare and bake this. The taste is delicious and does the job whether you have it with a hot cuppa or a cold beverage. Let’s get to it then.

Instructions
- Get all your ingredients together. These include; 100 g margarine/butter, softened
100 g castor sugar
2 medium eggs
200 g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp caramel essence
200 g raisins
50 ml fresh milk - Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius/ Gas Mark 4. Lightly grease your loaf tin and dust it with flour and set aside.
- Put the margarine, sugar and essence in a mixing bowl. Beat with hand mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat until just combined. Sift flour and baking powder into a separate bowl.
- Take the flour and add it in two batches to the egg, margarine and sugar mix. Gently mix until just combined.
- Add milk and the raisins. Again, mix gently until combined. Do not over-mix.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf tin. Bake in preheat oven for 35 min or until skewer comes out clean when inserted. Wait for it to cool, enjoy!
