Delicious traditional Muboora neDovi (in peanut butter)

3-4 Servings ~ 8 minutes
  • 1 bundle muboora (pumpkin leaves)
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 heaped tbsp peanut butter

As I mentioned in my first post of muboora, this is one of my all time favourite green, leafy, traditional vegetable. It’s just delicious!! This here version’s with peanut butter and mmmmmmmmmmm…. yum!! Follow the link above of my first post of muboora to follow the instructions for the first steps on preparing muboora as it’s just the same process. End at step 4 (a) then come and continue here. Let’s get started.

Quick Instructions

  1. With your peanut butter (3 heaped tbsp) ready and your muboora (1 bundle) returned to the pot. Turn off your cooker/stove and allow the residual heat to do the rest. Add salt (1 tsp), peanut butter and combine everything. There’s no need to let it simmer as you will kill all the nutrients you’re supposed to gain from the peanut butter!
